As one of the largest independent advisory firms in Indiana, we offer an outstanding level of professional financial leadership. At the same time, our culture—including our Midwestern values and sensibilities—and our multiple office locations combine to support personalized service that allows us to build real relationships with our clients and take a uniquely customized approach to addressing their financial needs. As a second-generation advisory firm with a four-decade history of strength and independence, the fact that our clients consistently choose to stay with our firm and refer us to their friends and family tells us one thing: we have earned our clients' trust.
Founded in 1968 by Chuck Yeager, SYM Financial has remained an independent advisory firm throughout our history. Over the years, our team has grown to include 30 highly experienced financial professionals serving clients, as well as numerous post-retirement clients, throughout the United States. Headquartered in Winona Lake, IN, we provide convenient service to our clients with locations in Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, South Bend, and Winona Lake, IN, as well as in Midland, MI.
At SYM Financial Advisors, we're Midwesterners, born and bred, and we operate with the values and sensibilities our clients expect from a trusted advisor. We believe this is one reason why nearly all of our new clients come to us through the referrals of individuals and families with whom we've worked for years. We pride ourselves on being good stewards and advocates for our clients, and this comes through in every action we take and every recommendation we make. As a fully independent and fee-based Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), our advisors do not receive commissions of any kind. In fact, as a fiduciary, we are required by law to always act in the best interest of our clients. This independence helps us act as your true advocate, not as a salesperson for a bank, insurance company, or brokerage firm in order to earn sales commissions. Our commitment to clients hasn't gone unnoticed, as we are among the top 2% of fee-based RIAs nationwide (based on total client assets under management), a status we've achieved purely through earning the trust and confidence of our clients.
